Yesterday Sage asked if she could play with a friend. After I thought for a minute I said yes, and this was her earnest response:
"You are the best mom in the whole world.
You have made so many plans.
You are thoughtful and kind.
You think fast.
And you are loving."
I think this is going to be a good summer for my self-esteem.
After all, I have been honing my fast-thinking skills lately. And it's nice for someone to notice all those plans I've been working on, and not the last six weeks that I've spent lounging around eating saltines and drinking gringer ale.

6 weeks of ginger ale and saltines? hmmm. . . Does that mean what I think it means? Or did you have a nasty long stomach bug??
Just watch that you only say yes and it could be a very self-esteem building summer indeed. And I ditto Kelly M's questions...

I am such a fast thinker that it only took me one whole month to write a 6-line blog entry to announce my pregnancy. Nice.
You're lucky! Between yesterday afternoon and today, Micah has told me, "Daddy work very hard. You not work hard, Mommy." and "you no can do it" (screw in a screw on his playground) and "Mommy not strong. Daddy strong," and indignantly (referring to the peaches that were gone--3 eaten by him and 1 by Jordan), "you eat them all up Mommy!"
Congrats Janel!! I am so happy for you! Good thing I am not the only one eating saltines as my main meal .. for 10 weeks ... ;)
Yay! Congratulations! What do you need that I can bring you? Bottled cactus? Hmm. I'll have to think about it.

Wow!!!!! That girl is so sweet and unique. Maybe if Jacob read more Rainbow Fairy books he could develop this awesome technique. It's all true, by the way.

A saltine diet can only mean one thing. Compression hose. Which can only mean one thing. You're expecting. Congrats!
