This morning my brother-in-law called me and said he had something to read me. He proceeded with this:
J is for jubilant
A is for amiable
N is for never shy
E is for elevated
L is for long memory
I was pretty bewildered, as this bro-in-law is not really the sentimental type. Then he confessed to me that he and my sister were outside in my parents’ barn (where I have a lot of boxes in storage) and he was reading one of the comments from my high school yearbook.
“I guess your memory is not so long if you don’t even remember who wrote this comment” he teased.
Moral of the story: Don’t leave your boxes labeled “Yearbooks and Journals and Other Juicy Stuff” where brother-in-laws can find them. Since I had to hide them from my sister growing up, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that the person she marries is equally interesting in all my qualifications. Jubilant, amiable, etc.
(I dare you, Bryce, to defend your actions in your first ever blog comment under your own name.)

I don't know what you're talking about--me reading your journal? I may have looked into any information about Jessie Spano that was lying around...
JJ, why didn't you mention the name of the boy that wrote those beautiful words in your yearbook. Why don't you also post the story about the letter he sent to you while he was on his mission? Maybe if you did we could look him up on Facebook and apologize for the agony he suffered due to his unrequited love towards you.

Low blows, Krista and Krista (aka Krista's husband).
Can a guy help it if he meets such a girl . . . amiable . . . --Mom
How DARE he! I'm aghast and more then a little offended on your behalf! Although who wouldn't want to be described as jubilantly amiably elevatedly long memoried! Come to think of it maybe I should be thanking this brother-in-law AND shouting more, MORE!
Please no one tell Bryce where my old yearbooks are. (Not that they had any gems like that.) Thank goodness my journals are here in LV. I don't even think I could laugh at some of the stuff in them yet. Or ever.
I think "Other Juicy Stuff" is the kicker. Even I might have been peeked in a box with such a tempting title. Too bad we haven't found any such boxes around here...
I wish I had found those yearbooks! Darn. Maybe we should find Ben Boquig's entries in Krista's old yearbooks to deter him from yours.
Or we could just put that Krist and Ben Bokewig video on the family blog!
Bryce can look at my old yearbooks any time he wants. I'm pretty sure he'd only find things like "HAGS" and "You're a cutie!" in them. But, I would like to know what Danielle is hiding so adamantly. A pair of big glasses and some 80s bangs, maybe?
If only those were hidden. Unfortunately they are common knowledge.
This whole blog+comments is hilarious! Yeah for the Wilson clan and all the hilariousness they come up with!
excellent points and the details are more precise than somewhere else, thanks.
