I Feel Like a Woman

A few days ago I was serving lunch to Eliza (5) and Lily (3).  When I served Eliza last, she asked me incredulously, "Seriously, I'm a woman, and I have to go last?"

Here's our mature woman at her long-awaited "About Me" presentation in kindergarten last week.  She was very comfortable being in charge.

She even used her authoritative pointing stick to show off her live show-and-tell: cousin Micah, and his green cast.

Ha ha!!!!! What a woman. The look on her face in the second picture is the best. But Micah's in the last picture is pretty good, too.

Eliza should run for president someday, she'd love being in charge! I thought she was so cute at that presentation, with her little pointer stick and homemade cards!

LOVE it. Also, don't you love the words our kids incorporate into their vocab - like seriously? Henry is into "literally" and "glorious" lately :)
Those pictures are adorable...

I think I'm going to start saying sentences that begin with, "Seriously, I'm a woman..."

That girl is such a kick! She delights me in so many ways. The pics tell a thousand words too.

HAHAHA!!! Just found this post. LOVE it! The 5-year old "woman" goes last! Eliza sure has some spunk and sass -- still -- which I love. (Probably and especially because I don't ever get sassed. ;) Maybe Micah should come back for show and tell since he is on Cast Round #2 these days.
