I have been sick the last few days. Today I threw up in the bathroom sink. All three kids heard me and rushed to see what was going on. Their reactions were amusing (...well, they were when I thought about it after the fact). After I’d emptied my gut, Lily continued to stare at me silently like I was some freak of nature. Sage rushed over to me with a glass of water she’d filled up in the kitchen. And Eliza asked me (in THAT tone of voice that says "I'm trying to be patient") if I had forgotten to get her shoes.
Nurture or nature? Middle child syndrome? Second child syndrome? (That hits a little too close to home for comfort!)

I'm sorry you've been sick! Nature all the way.
Is this an announcement of some kind?! ;0)
That Eliza...giving you a run for your money. And just so you know the "freak of nature" comment has my in stitches!
HA HA!! Eliza, making sure she's your top priority. (I think maybe she got that trait from her aunty Krista.)
So sorry you're sick... Hang on 4 1/2 months comes slowly, but it DOES come . . . eventually.
Haha! Not about the throwing up (which Micah did the other day, then came in and told me "I do chunks, Mommy."), but that Liza is starting to learn what really counts! SHOES!
Sorry you're sick. :(
