Warning

Our district's Spring Break started last Friday, and by evening, I wondered how I would make it through an entire summer of no school.

The next day, Mark and I broke out the trampoline we had bought for the kids' birthdays (in June/July). The trampoline pamphlet reminded us no less than 5 times of the imminent-death risk associated with use of their product. But ducklings can peck to death, too, so we forged ahead.

The user's manual was peppered with advice including, but certainly not limited to, the following:
--Avoid bouncing too high. [ha]
--Avoid bouncing when tired.
--Do not use the trampoline while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. [okay]
--Avoid bouncing when tired. [No joke--this was repeated twice. I think the writer was getting tired thinking of new rules to list.]

After muddling through the warnings and the assembly instructions, we were finally able to celebrate our 3 3/4 year old and 5 3/4 year old by presenting our new (possibly lethal) babysitter, the trampoline.

It was pure torture for the kids to be banned from jumping on Sunday. But between Saturday and this morning, Sage and Eliza have each logged HOURS playing on the trampoline.

And I realized that the Trampoline Manual forgot one very important warning.

WARNING: Giggling in your backyard will likely increase by 600%.

HA! First of all, Eliza looks SO much like Mark's mom/sisters in the first picture. WOW! Also she looks so grown up! That is so cute. They look so happy and excited! I want giggling to increase 600% in our backyard. I feel a small twinge of envy. (The Sunday ban reminds me of how torturous it was to be forbidden to jump on Grandma's tramp on Sunday! Speaking of which, you'd better teach S and E about care bear underwear.)

How cute are your matching girls?
And trampoline is THE ultimate childhood present/backyard toy! We never did have one, and I was super jealous of all my friends that did. What a great addition to your sanity and their fun!

Sweet! Now you can just leave all 3 on the tramp while you run errands or even go on a vacation or a cruise. But, then again, they might get tired and violate rules #2 and 4. They look so cute as twins!

You forgot the "only one at a time" and the "no flips" - and the advice to take trampoline lessons from your "nearest local provider" ... which would be WHERE?!

I love our trampoline, too. Especially when all five of us are on it, doing tricks - and we haven't even had lessons!!

That's adorable and your last few posts that I finally caught up on are hilarious. Thanks for reminding me to keep a sense of humor. It's just hard when there's no one to laugh with. Yay for blogs. I'd love to break your tie but voting for the brown rug. Too late, huh?
