Hair history repeats itself

One reason we have history books and cameras is so we can learn from the past. Apparently I did not learn from my past when I decided to cut Mark's hair tonight, on the eve of the blessing of our baby in church.

On the bright side, maybe we don't need to take pictures of Mark tomorrow because we already know what he will look like (from 2004).

Hopefully Mark's still got that yellow tie around, but my gut feeling is that my pink skirt is going to be a little tighter on my hips these days (four years and two kids later).

Cross your fingers that history doesn't repeat itself like this, though.

I'll be praying for you tommorow, that Mark's hair might grow overnight, that your baby will be serene and content, that your hips might fit into that really cute skirt (and mine too for that matter), but mostly that it will be a lovely day as it should be. Wish we were there to hear it!
ps You guys both look really young in that picture...those were the days, right?! You still look great though-hope that didn't sound disparaging!

That poor baby! Is that Sage? Poor little girl! I hope the blessing went well today--I'm sure it did.

So how did it go? Mike loves his hair that short. I'm sure Mark looked great. Most guys don't care too much anyways. It might bug them at first, but their hair grows so fast. It doesn't take much before you can cut it again :)

Mark is brave to let you cut his hair. My whole married life Seth has forbidden me to touch his hair until he is bald enough to buzz it. I'm sure he'll look great no matter what his hair looks like (cuz guys are lucky that way)

So now I need to know how it went. Marks haircut isn't worse than the bob I gave Ammon. It's awful! But at least he doesn't have to show up at work..or bless a baby at church. :)

well, when I cut Jordan's hair, I usually just close my eyes--then I don't have to see mistakes that I'm making. maybe you should try that with markus!

I hope everything went well! At least you didn't let it get to the point where he felt that he needed to take the buzzer to his own head...

I wanted to thank you for your sweet comments on my blog; they truly made my morning. I have a horrid cold and haven't slept in days, and you were the sunshine I needed.

Love the hair cut. I hope the blessing went well - baby blessings are stressful! Putting a baby in an all-white outfit is stressful enough, and add to that the potential of ceaseless screaming and a bad hair-cut and you have a recipe for disaster :) Just kidding - I'm sure it was beautiful, regardless of any screaming or home-made hairstyles.

Awwww, Mark's a stud no matter how you cut him. Or, his hair that is. We miss you guys!
