Last week Sage noticed a correlation between the carrots she ate at lunch and her evening excrement.
Today after breakfast she told me “Mom, did you know what happened when I ate chocolate cocoa puffs? They were brown, and then my poopies were brown.”
It's fun and amusing to watch children try to make sense of nature and the world around them.

I bet Sage would be even more excited to learn what happens to Eliza's excrement when she swallows pebbles from Becca's vase!
